I bought a new radio to replace the crappy stock radio on my Chevy Silverado truck. I went with the Jensen VM9313 in-dash video player. I figured it might be nice to have a DVD as well as a CD/MP3 player. I've had this radio for about 6 months and everything seemed to be fine for a while but now I am having all kinds of problems with it. The most annoying one is the radio keeps cutting out on the right side. It happens randomly and it can last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. Initially I thought that perhaps there is a problem with the speakers but this problem only occurs when listening to the radio. I have a feeling that it has something to do with the HD receiver add-on device. Unfortunately I do not believe that I can listen to the radio without that device since the antenna plugs into that instead of the radio itself.I bought this unit from Crutchfield and did not get the extended warranty so now I have to deal with the manufacturer directly. What a complete pain in the ass this is turning out to be.
Well, wasn't that a great birthday present. [sigh]
