Harry Reid laments over pomegranates and figs blooming without him...

The Democratic Senate majority leader lamented over his Nevada home and garden; about how he hasn't been able to tend to them in “months.”
“I have a home in Nevada that I haven’t seen in months”, Reid said Monday on the Senate floor, bemoaning the working weekends Congress has spent on the debt-ceiling issue. “My pomegranate trees are, I’m told, blossoming and have some pomegranates on them. I have some fig trees and roses and things that I just haven’t seen.”
“It’s been a pretty hard work period we’ve had, the last two weekends and working late, and I think the Senate deserves to be able to go home as soon as we can."
Harry, Harry, Harry...
You do know that we have troops fighting two wars, right? You also realize that most of the men and women who are fighting for our freedom have been away from their homes and families for more than a year? Right? Yet, here you are whining like a spoiled little brat about not being able to see your trees bloom? Boo Hoo. Why don't you cry me a river.
I have no sympathy for you. If things are so hard for you why not step down and let someone else take over the majority role? You are pretty much irrelevant anyway.
