Seriously?
I am by no means a racists or a homophobe but I have to ask -- Was it really necessary to turn Spiderman into a gay homeboy? Is this the type of a role model we want the kids to look up to? What's next? A transsexual midget Superman? Sure, the new Spiderman lives in an alternate universe so I guess that anything is possible but why turn an otherwise excellent comic book hero into a political statement? According to the Marvel's editor in chief Axel Alonso, the homeboy Spider-Man is a "reflection of our current culture and diversity". Yeah, sure. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
BTW, why is he purple?
