Luckily I was able to get my storage array back up and running and without any help from the vendor. Thank you very much. I am still dealing with some residual issues from this outage but all of that is peanuts comparing to what could have been.
So, what have I learned from this?
- I don't know crap about Linux...not a big surprise here as I am a Microsoft brat
- I have indeed purchased the best small business storage solution I could afford; without breaking the bank
- I need to implement a sound storage solution and I need to have it done YESTERDAY
- Having been in IT for over 15 years, I acted like a complete moron by not protecting my personal data. Granted, the storage array is redundant in many ways but it is still vulnerable to data corruption, flood and theft. I need to back up my stuff on a regular basis. End of story.
