Boston Mayor, Tomas Menino, in the most recent interview with NECN, once again blamed guns for the rising crime rates in his beloved city. His is either in denial or he is a complete moron. I tend to go with the latter. He has been spewing the same garbage for years ignoring the fact that Massachusetts already has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation but somehow those laws are overlooked whenever teenage gang bangers go at it in Southie or Dorchester.
He has failed to understand a couple of things:
- Guns do not kill people. Evil people with guns kill other people.
- The legal system in this state is broken and hasn't worked in a long time. Unless it gets fixed, the criminals will continue to kill without any repercussions.
So Mr. Mayor, please do us all a favor and pull your head out of your ass and take a look around. Stop blaming inanimate objects for problems created by failed policies and corruption.
