Gregory W. Rowan, 67, of Needham, beloved husband of Christine Ehrlich Rowan and loving father of Mary C. Rowan and Louis R. Rowan, passed away on April 23, surrounded by his family. Born in Quincy, FL, Greg was a graduate of Florida State University, continuing his study of the French language at McGill University, Montreal, and the University of North Carolina. He relocated to MA, married, and began a family while pursuing a career in banking and furthering his education at Babson College and Clark University. In 1997, he joined PanAgora Asset Management as a software developer. Greg took great satisfaction in his career, and also enjoyed music, photography, French language and culture, and his daily swims. Greg was predeceased by his parents, William C. and Marjorie G. Rowan. He leaves an aunt, Ann LeNell Baker, family friend Charlotte Laffitte, sister- and brother-in-law Rebecca E. Parales and Juan Parales, and father-in-law Robert Ehrlich. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 3, at 1:00 pm at the Congregational Church of Needham, 1154 Great Plain Ave., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham MA 01701.
