How difficult is it to activate a damn license key?
I was on the phone with Microsoft for three hours trying to set up a KMS license sever on my network. This is a process that should take about 15 minutes. However, the license key I was given by Microsoft could not be activated. According to the error I got it had already exceeded the number of "allowed" activations. Sooooo, you would think that the LICENSING department could RESET the LICENSE that THEY ISSUED to allow me to complete my activation. Oh NO, Licensing only issues licenses. I have to call technical support to get the license key reset. I called tech support and they said they had nothing to do with resetting license keys and I needed to talk to the volume licensing activation people. Volume licensing issued another key with turned out to be the same key I already had. Back I went to the technical support.
At one point I was in a 4-way conference call with three different departments and nobody had a f***ing idea what to do. Microsoft WTF is wrong with you?
Oh and the kicker is that nobody over at Microsoft speaks English anymore.
Microsoft licensing sucks donkey's A$$. Whoever came up with this convoluted clusterf*ck should be shot or better yet hung like a Piñata and beaten to death with a spiked baseball bat.
